Looking for some advice / complain to me about your job!
Hey guys – my brother and I are starting a startup to try and solve problems for contractors. We’re both pretty sick of how long it takes anything to get built in this country and want to do our part to fix it.
That said, we haven’t worked in construction and know we’re not gonna build something useful if we don’t talk to people who actually live it every day.
So – what kind of problems do you all run into? What’s more painful than it should be? Anything helps

Oh where to start. Licensing is a joke in most places. I’m currently 4 months into waiting on Nassau County processing my application. Every country requires a different license in any.
Permit costs. Dealing with different municipalities that enforce codes differently. Code in general and the dry way the books are written without pictures.
Lack of training, trade schools and respect for trade’s tradition and basic skills.
Poor craftsmanship on job sites.I could go on and on
