Wife and I just had a baby, trying to move into our new house. 

Seems like spray foam is the only option. I dont want to scab out 2×12 as it will make loft too short.

Spray foam contractors can deliver r-50 with 3″ closed cell and batt insulation. However, the price of $17k is out of my budget at the moment. 

Long story short, due to wife being pregnant and wildfires in hometown, I took about a 80% paycut. 

This issue has delayed my family from moving in to our new house. 

Insulation contractor only finances jobs on remodels.
