I have some odd size opening I want to put louvered doors in. I have checked bifold doors at the local big box store and nothing really fits my needs. So I am looking for a jig for my plunge router. I know Norm showed how to make one a while back, went to his web site but all I came up with was a video for $39.95+tax.I really don’t want to spend the money if I could find another on the web. I have googled and have really found nothing.

I've seen guys just take apart louvered doors and make them fit.
Buy full sized doors that are to wide and take them apart.
It should be faster and cheaper than making them.
Thanks for the reply. These are for my own house so faster and cheaper is not a problem.
I was looking for a shutter jig, same concept. Someone here posted a link to an article somewhere that was slick..just a LONG trammel for the router..the arc is lost in such a short groove. Set up a test..it's fairly simple.
Other wise I was gonna make operable louvers with a stub dowel on the ends of the slats and just drill the stiles for the pivot..you could too, but glue em in tight and maybe a 23 ga pin to lock em in place.
To make the pivot stub, make a table saw cradle and a drum or wheels that hold the slat ( wish I had a picture handy) and rotate the wheels over the TS blade...a pc of PVC pipe is what I had made, with plugs that friction fit in the ends, that held the slat.
6 of one half dozen of the other..a trammel for the grooves or a slat manufacturer..both take some fiddling and trial and error.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks
