I have tried to get these pics loaded 3 times, so I’ll revert to attached..
The stuff is great for everything, everything you want snowed on..LOL
Really, it make an awesome glass retainer both inside ogee and out side putty substitute..
I think I am on to something here.

The squiggly edge you see in pic 003 is the bedding caulk of the glass sqeezing out on the back side of the glass, I squirt a line of big stretch and lay the panes in that, then apply the .400x.400 triangles that serve in lieu of putty.
when painted, it all looks homogenous and hopefully will not fail as putty is prone to.
I also used azek as the roman Ogee of the interior side, being as all of these are getting painted white as well, the ogee's are a tad bigger than the putty stops, .450x.750, so as to not let the putty stops be bigger and seen from the inside, as is oft the case in a bad putty job.
The static dust tho', is a real problem, I had both lines of my DC sukking away, and even then, had a blizzard of snow ( of which I have bagged and gave to the Salvation Army as a soon to be Nativity Scene..LOL, let them play with it) and really , really hate having the stuff all over..Oh well.
Geezus, I just realized what I have done, I convinced the SA that Jesus was born in a blizzard...LMAO..

Sphere,
Just curious, have you done this before ? The reason I ask is that knowing how much the Azec I put on my facias expands and contracts with the temperature, I am real curious how it is going to act in a window. Bill Koustenis

Good question..the answer is NO..LOL
The actuall dimenisons "should" preclude adverse thermal co-effiecience. But really? I dunno.
I do know that puddy is flexible,( till an age) and I assume paint ( a good quality latex) is as well..so what is to lose?
Call me in a hundred yrs, cause it seems some folks wait that long to fix thier windows.
This job is replicating 150+ y.o. sash, I'd not do this for just anyone, nor would I offer a waranty over 100 yrs from date of install (G).
My gut says, OK, run with it..thats enough for me, for right now, its getting cold, they need something, I hate puddy and maintance painting..
I may go down in history as " well, he tried", and some one else gets the fix, thats how I got started, fixing other guys mistakes, pay it forward .....right?Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Rest easy-sort of.
I built a storm with glass for a picky client that does love Azek. A few years ago made up some square posts for their side entry portico-"we don't want to have to paint every year"-and they haven't. They requested this storm panel for over the front door be made out of azek. No divided lights. Rabbit for the glass, sq. edge for the stops. No discernable movement has cracked or separated any joints. Window was 42 x 60 something.
edit. The entire frame was azek, besides the stops. I was concerned that the floppiness of the plastic might make for a weak window but my sash doesn't move-fixed storm panel.

Well ain't that a kick in the axe. I dunno if I'd trst doing a FRAME, or Mulls..sheet!
Ahhh, I needed to have the sash frames at 1.375 or less, to fit the alum. jamb liners from 20 odd yrs ago, they had no sash weights, just friction stops ( ick) , and the Uppers were fixed with a dropped ear fixed block ( this is a Historic type deal).
Retro my ####, it is a climb to yank the outer trim and uninstall a pc o' chit window from before the bullets flew here, so I took some liberty..a real WIDE berth..LOL
25 coats of caulk and paint, umm, mutter futter, uh yeah maam, I can be there by..umm yeah maam, I know ya have a hole in yer wall..umm yah mam, now yer pissing me off..LOOK here maam, I AM WORKING AS FAST AS I CAN!!..did I mention? I had an Azek rep tell me to use static gaurd, or dryer sheets (anti - static) to o wipe down tools before machining azek to help keep tools clean. Haven't tried it yet, but it seems like a good idea.
Should work - back when I used to do a fair amount of ammo reloading, I'd wipe the funnels & tools which came in contact with the gunpowder with either a dryer sheet or a rag with a little Downy on it. Worked like a charm.
