I’m installing a thermo’d window pane in a wooden sash. It’s marked with a sticker on one side saying it has a low-e coating. I’m wondering if the side the sticker is on signifies anything, such as which way the window should ‘face’. Does it matter with low-e glass which direction it goes in the sash?

The sticker should be on the coated side, which is the side that does the infrared reflecting. If you're more concerned with heat loss, it's the inner pane. If heat gain is the problem, outer pane.
There are several types of low e glass. Best to ask your supplier.

I bought 35 thermo window units at an auction to install in my own jamb and sash, but i don't know who made them. This is the only one marked low-e, but you gave me just what i needed to know to get my kitchen window in today instead of waiting to call around on Monday. Many thanks, Tom!

You're welcome. Generally, you can look at the panes from an angle and see the coating. Congratulations on your buy. Take a look at the rest to see if maybe they're low e also and simply lost the label.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
