Kitchen
Low Voltage lighting under and above cabinets.
Two sides of galley kitchen.
Transformers located in the basement below the base cabinets. One transformer for the above and one for the below lights.
1) Does it matter whether I put the switch on the reg or low-voltage side of the transformer? I believe that it belongs on the reg side of the transormer. Location would also determine type of dimmer switch, right?
I have to run a line between each length of lights so the left side lights with the same switch as the right side. What wire should be used for this – gauge/ type?
It’s my understanding that reg. lamp cord can be used since it’s low-voltage, however is it better to use a heavier guage wire like 12 or even 10 gauge?
