Lutron Maestro LED 3-way Dimmer to control table lamps with LED bulbs
Hi,
I’m trying to use the Lutron Maestro LED 3-way dimmer in a 3-way circuit to control two bedside table lamps (with LED Bulbs). The three way circuit is existing and I’ve replaced the old switches with new 3-way switches and all was fine.
I then replaced the 3-way switches with the Lutron Maestro LED 3-way dimmer set (two switches). I tested the wiring before putting everything back into the wall and the circuit with the Lutron Maestro dimmers worked fine. So I flipped the breaker and put everything back into the boxes and nothing works on the circuit.
I’ve pulled the Lutron Maestro 3-way switches out of the boxes to check the wiring. All seems fine. I’ve even tried pulling on the reset tab at the bottom of the switch.
Am I missing something?

Only one switch can be a dimmer on a 3 way circuit.
Lutron sell a kit with two switches: one referred to as MACL (master s/w) and a second s/w referred to as MA-R. With these two switches, one should be able to dim the lights from either switch.
Is this what you have?

Is your wiring correct and did you read up on the troubleshooting?
if I read your post correctly, the set up worked correctly with the switches out of the boxes and then didn't work correctly when you put the switched in to the existing elect.box(?)
Since the wiring and the switches seem fine, it could be a compatibility issue with the LED bulbs. Sometimes dimmers don't play nice with certain LEDs. Try testing with different bulbs or check Lutron's compatibility list to see if your bulbs are listed.
If that doesn't work, you might need to contact Lutron customer support for more specific troubleshooting help.
