In picking flooring for my new home, the flooring contractor has a high opinion of a hardwood material called “Lyptus”. It looks good, but I’m wondering if anyone has experience with it? I’d appreciate some advice and guidance.

It's a hybrid of two different eucalypts, specially developed for plantation timber.
It's an excellent flooring timber, the only thing to note is that it's photosensitive and pinks tend to turn to gold and reds to brown.
Try and see some photos of finished floors rather than relying on small samples for color because, like most eucalypts, there's quite a color variation.

Lyptus is a company that produces flooring and other hardwood for cabinets and furniture. It`s a Brazilian company that takes advantage of a fast growing tree in a fast growing environment. This is as eco-friendly as you can get. The company was set up to take off pressure from logging in Amazon forrest. Check out there website. I haven`t used it yet but plan to in the future so I`d like to know what you or anyone else thinks about it. http://www.lyptus.com.br The site is set up for several languages including English. Good luck.
