   The siding is on an early eighties home built by a company called Deck House Corporation.  It is 3 and 5/16 of an inch wide, 3/8 of an inch thick and runs horizontally.  Need to duplicate at least dimensions of appearance of material.  Has a slightly rough finish, and at least on this house was stained a dark finish.  The entire house is built with mahagony finish - windows, doors, beams, roof decking....

   I have it. When the house was built 17 years ago it was cheaper than red cedar. I'd rather have the cedar.

   Bevel or drop? I am just wondering why it was made and now seems obscure to most ( including me).

   Bevel. I don't know either. I've never seen it on another home.
