I’ve got to drill a bunch of holes in concrete tommorow and my cordless hammer drill’s battery charger is with my brother in law and I wont be seeing it for a week or so. If i took some alligator clips and hooked them up to the end of one of the simple chargers from a old black and decker drill someone gave me years ago and on the other end of the clip to the terminals on the battery, than it should charge it shouldn’t it?
I have a plug in charger for a 14.4 volt drill battery with no automatic shutoff or anything fancy, probably won’t work to charge my 12 volt battery though will it? Trying to avoid the time and expense of a new hammer drill or charger if possble.

Sure it will
it will just charge it faster
I see alot of guys with their RC stuff & they use automobile chargers
Here's the catch you have to pay attention to it.
When it's really warm but before hot then the battery is full
One last thing fast charging a battery shortens its' life span.

They smoke and bubble/sizzle too if you charge em too long. I ruined a battery pack that way. Once. The heat deformed the plastic battery pack case too.
