I have a Makita 2703, 10″ table saw. Adjusting for a 45 degree cut has always been difficult. I had to force it the last degree or so. It has been several weeks since I used the saw for anything other then a 90 degree cut. Today I can only get it to adjust to 35 degrees. I have cleaned it and looked for anything that might be blocking it from rotating, but I do not see anything. Something is binding.
Has anyone any experience that might help me?

you may need to add a sort of washer/shim on the arbor between the blade and the nut. I had to do that on mine.

Andy,
It wasn't the blade. I was only tilting to 35 degrees even with the blade removed. I gave it a much more thorough cleaning ... practically disassembled it. I got my full 45 degrees back. It takes very little sawdust in the wrong place to stop it. Thanks for your reply.

Follow up: It was not the sawdust buildup either. I learn something new every day. I have had the saw for about 5 years and never new it had adjustable stops... couldn't find them. I changed the blade the other day and had my helper put the blade guard back on. He tightened up an extra screw ... the 45 degree stop. Tilt works better then new now. :-[
