Makita HR2455X 1-Inch Rotary Hammer

I picked up one of these on Amazon after reading reviews here and on Amazon. It comes with bits, a free grinder and a diamond wheel for the grinder. Any thoughts or feedback? What can I expect this to do as far as largest hole drilled? It is an SDS-Can I use SDS plus bits?

Yes you can use sds plus. That was a pretty good deal.
As far as maximum diameter. I think I heard somewhere that the ideal range is somewhere around 1/2 to 3/4 with the 1 inch drills. Go up to 1 inch in a pinch.

Hey Bubba,I've had that same model for a few years now and it's done just fine, although I don't use it all that much.Biggest holes I've done so far are 5/8" down to about 8 inches or so which go like butter.It's a nice drill and a good deal.Nick
