No answer to my post over at FWW/Knots forum so I’ll try you guys (maybe more appropriate here anyway).
I have a LS1013 SCMS and ordered the Dewalt DW723 stand to mount it on (tired of using an old door on sawhorses). Top-rated saw on a top-rated stand…no-brainer. The Dewalt website states the stand fits ALL miter saws. After I ordered I read all the DW723 user reviews on Amazon.com and found 2 comments that my saw won’t fit the stand. DAMN! Sent an email to Dewalt asking why/how and they replied that in fact it *won’t* fit. Didn’t answer the why/how. Yesterday the stand arrives & rather than refusing it I thought I’d see what the problem is. Well the stand fits like it was designed for the Makita! Holes line up perfectly.
Anybody here try this combination and have any problem? Maybe Makita or Dewalt changed something since those comments were written??

If I'm not mistaken, the stand to which you are referring has fixed height stock supports. If I am correct, then maybe the difference in table height between the two saws is the problem.
The stock supports are adjustable up n down. At about 90% up they're level with the Makita's table.
