My wonderful 8 1/4″ Makita table saw just had its rip fence break. I just love this thing because it is small and light and does all the things I need it too do. I”ve had it for 21 years and it has never failed me for all my trim work and flooring and plywood too. I’m not into ripping treated two by twelves I have a Delta Unisaw in my shop for that and everything else. Where may I find a replacement rip fence. HELP! help! I live in the New York metropilitan area if that is of any use. David.

I'm currently just outside Bridgeport, am heading back to Baltimore this weekend to pick up some stuff, and if you want it, I'll bring my 2708 fence if I can find it. If you want to pick it up next week, it's yours. Almost always use the Rousseau table and fence, the original Makita part is just extra baggage.
PM me with your contact info.
Tom, absolutely, positively, Most Yes. I live in Englewood NJ. Right near the George Washington Bridge. Six miles to be exact. Can meet you somewhere. I'm very close to Interstate 80/95 as well. (two miles) If it is helpful I can give you my cell #. thank you again. I also would pay shipping plus more etc. if we can not meet up. David

Hi David,
I am in Baltimore on my way back to Connecticut. Your email with your telephone # did not come through. Please give me a call on my cell phone 410-207-5563. I should be in your area in the next couple of hours. Thanks. Tom
Have you tried Makita?

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Bill is right. Even though that saw has been discontinued, Makita still has the parts for it.
I've had mine 21 years too, one of the old green ones, and use the Rousseau fence system. I have never heard anything but praise for that little saw. Probably it's the best power tool I've ever owned.
