Allen: Real nice stairwork! Do you epoxy your iron balusters in? I have never tried one of those guns and was just wondering. Keep sending your nice work...
Thanks Stan, I epoxy them in but I don't use the mixing tip. They tend to be to messy and if I take a break they harden up too quick. I've been pumping out a managable glob out on a piece of scrap lumber and mix it with a stick. Then I take a 16 penny nail and put a glob in the drill holes and under the knuckles. So far so good.
Allen,
Real nice work, but lets work on getting that camera in focus! :)
I don't understand! I cut it twice and it's still too short!
Very Nice Work , I was curious where exactly do you get your iron balusters from? Is there a online mail order site ? Thanks.
Chris, The stair co. I work for orders them and I'm not sure what company it is but they are very popular and any stair parts supplier can get them in a heartbeat. I do believe I have seen them online.
Allen, do you sent in specs and source all treads, risers, balisters, Newel posts, trim boards, returns, etc. from the same place?
The stair co. does all the sales, materials, deliveries. They just tell me what job to go to and I buildem steps and go to the next job.
Where do you/did you source your staircases?
