I have to set a marble top on a bathroom vanity tommorrow. The top has no corner blocks like a laminate or wood top. I was thinking to just set in on some silicone and call it good. The thing must weigh 100#. Then set the backsplash on top, and caulk it? Tell me how real trimmers do it. I’m a framer trying to branch out. Thanks

Yep. But I usually caulk the backsplash/top joint prior to placing the backsplash as well as caulking the corner after it's in. Seems to keep things a bit more watertight.
