Maryland Mid-Shore Part-Time Job Wanted
Looking for a part-time job with a small contractor or handyman type service. I am 31, married, and honest to a fault. Also am very conscientious. I am posting here because the type of person I would want to work for would definitely be on the FHB website. Please email me at jbgunter at yahoo dot com .

Tell us some more about youself - near Anapolis? How far will you travel in a day? What kind of work have you done? We always like pictures!

Thanks for the reply. I actually work in Annapolis 4 days a week. In a previous "life" I had a small service/repair business. I had a terrible time getting help, let alone good help. Seems most people want max pay for min work, or are drunk and/or high. Let alone some peoples background with the man. So I sympathize with small business owners and the quest for help.
As I travel 2hrs total on my reg work days, I would want to stay near that time frame. (2hrs a day total) With out telling you exactly who and what I do, I will say that I can not work in Annapolis City limits. It would be a possible conflict on permitted jobs due to my work in code enforcement.
I do not have pics of any work. I have been involved in many projects, the largest of which was finishing a basement. The business I had was some what specialized, but I have been exposed to many aspects of residential work. I am familiar with terminology and reading plans. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Anyone?
There's a guy in Frederick that's looking for a part-time supervisor to build his house. Perhaps that's of interest?http://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/messages?msg=99688.1'Man who say it cannot be done should not interrupt man doing it' ~ Chinese proverb
Thanks. I am a bit far from that area though.

I suspected that might be a bit far. There's a guy on here 'runnerguy' that you might get in touch with. I believe he's from Annapolis. Best wishes,

Yes, I'm the Runnerguy Fat Roman mentioned.
Here in Annapolis, while new construction has slowed considerably, the renovation/addition/redo a room market is pretty strong. Building permits are actually up in 2007 over 2006 because it's all that stuff. Don't have any leads for you but the best of luck.

Ah.. a fellow runner huh ? I took up running last year at the age of 31. It was a step towards getting back in shape after cancers. I ran the Annapolis 10 miler and the Balt. Half. Did we "cross" paths ? Thanks for the reply.
I ran the A10 a few years ago. Tough race. Hot humid and hilly. I've been running for about 10 years to varying degrees. Do about 8 or 10 races a year. Wanted to run the Baltimore half last year but I'm in the middle of building a house so that cuts into running time and I felt I wasn't ready. I'm a member of the Annapolis Striders. You might consider it. At $15 a year it's a great deal.If you're a cancer survivor who's running you might be inspired by this:

Turns out she is also a talented writer. That essay choked me up. I'm Runner Doug on that board and responded to the thread. The best of luck in your job search and your running.Runnerguy
