Finally got some pics of the last big project.
I did all the slate…floor/shower/tub deck. Set the vanities…..angled fillers…and built the tub deck skirt out of the vanity filler stick. The doors are removable for whirlpool access.
The slate was bullnosed on site with a grinder and belt sander….took many years longer than expected. Live and learn. I also build a kinda cool window seat/laundry chute/goofy space filler.
And…..ran most of the trim…set a few doors…..and so on and so on……
The pics scanned either lighter or darker…let’s see how they show…..
Here’s what I started with………
…………..Al-ways look on……the bright……side of life………….

I wish I could get that vanity pic to show more detail......the base was applied to lip the face frame. Just caught it by about 1/8th inch.........ran the fillers long....and added a support block behind.
The idea was to mimic the furniture look......I made quarter round cut outs at the corners.....so as to look like feet...and added a dust skirt behind that...so if ya laid on the floor...it all looked white....but dust bunnies didn't have a place to hide.
The doors and drawers all have to be adjusted up when ya do this...but it does looks pretty cool in person. .......with the base and doors/drawers all being in the same plane......
Gotta go back and build the vanity topper....it'll be centered over the smaller recessed drawer unit....the original one was way too big in real life.
New one's gonna be a smaller drawer unit(12"deep) with an open shelving unit(15"deep) on top.....all to be fake recessed into built up side filler pieces(16" or so deep).........skinned...and wrapped with crown.

Beautiful work Jeff; thanks for sharing!
