hello I am a finish carpenter . I live in California and have been thinking of moving east I have relatives in baltimore.what is the pay like for good finish work.I can do rough carpentry and plumbing and electrical work . I am currently self employed and carry a California general contractors license
We're about 30 minutes west of Baltimore. I don't know what a carpenter that does trim only would make. There are subcontractors that work with local builders that could tell you. There's a shortage of qualified LEAD CARPENTERS (heck, carpenters in general) in this area. Someone who can not only do the rough and finish carpentry, but manage the other people involved in the project. Carpenters are making 15+ an hour, Leads are 20+ and production mgr are 25+. If this shortage keeps up, those numbers are going to go up! Our work is located in MD, just north of DC. Drop me a line if need more info
