The good news. I just found out tonite that I got a nice remodeling job for a small church storefront and library(approx. 1200 sq.ft.)
The bad news. They want me to make the custom cabinets with a cherry patterned melamine. I gave the same price to oak and maple in the hope that they would choose one of those. The upgrade to real cherry is $1950.00(about 5% total cost of project).
Those who are making the decorating decisions don’t like the look of oak or maple and don’t see the need to upgrade to cherry because the melamine gives them that look already.
They may change their mind if I can give them a persuasive case for natural cherry. Give me some ammunition to help me change their mind! (or tell me I’m being a prima donna for not wanting to use the melamine)
Thanks, John
