Metabo has a new 10″ portable table saw for sale in the USA for approximately $499-549. The model number is TS250. From what I understand, it was made by (or in collaboration with) Elektra Beckum, which apparently is a large woodworking tool manufacturer in Europe. Anyone have any experience with it? Opinions? Tommy, where did you find out about the saw? I noticed it at JLC live last week, but very few stores seem to carry Metabo (didn't get a chance to play with it at the show).
If the saw's anything like the rest of their tools, it should be a winner. We have 5 or 6 metabo tools. They are all well designed & very durable- typical german engineering.
gregb,
I've seen it in two different stores in Bellevue, WA (near Seattle). Also, I noticed a few places sell it online -- toolplus in CT and toolpeddler in Portland, OR.
Another tablesaw. :(
They should sell some circular saws here.
They do have good circular saws.
No, but I did check out their chopsaw at JLC. Great tool. Best dust collection idea yet, and the optional table, similar to AE&D's table, looked good too.
