Metal Roofing Recommendation for Small Sheds
I have two small sheds with aging asphalt shingle roofs that are now getting to the point of allowing water in. The smaller shed roof area is just over 1 square and the larger one is maybe twice that size.
I’d like to replace them with metal roofing, both because I think they’ll look better aesthetically, as well as for the longevity. My initial thought was to use one of the through fastened products similar to (https://www.finehomebuilding.com/project-guides/roofing/is-through-fastened-metal-roofing-a-good-idea), which is widely available from the local big box store. However, I’ve seen a lot of references of fasteners backing out, failing seals etc, so I’m wondering if some products/solutions are better than others. Given that the areas to be covered aren’t that large, I’m fine with spending a bit more for something better, although a true standing seam roof seems a bit ridiculous for the application.
Interested in any recommendations or resources for “best practice” type install and products. There’s a local roofing supply place (ABC supply) that I’ll likely hit up for advice as well but hoping to have a starting point before going in completely ignorant.

For long-lasting protection, tiny sheds should be covered with sturdy and affordable metal roofing materials like corrugated steel or aluminum.
