I hope everyone got the tools of their dreams. I posted this note on Christmas Eve and it may have been buried in discarded wrapping paper on Christmas morning. So I hope you won’t mind any possible repetition. A while back I read a very impressive thread about a recommendation for a carpenter in the Virginia area (I think). I’m hoping you can do it again for the Miami area. My folks need to have two doors installed. One is a security screen door across an opening that is framed with trim that looks like colums, but is only a 2″ thick facade. The other is replacing an interior pocket door with a swinging french door. Can anyone suggest someone talented and reliable who would be up to the challenge? Thank you. Neal

Happy Holidays Neil.......suggest you go to an area lumberyard and ask at their order desk or contractor sales dept. whom they would recommend. Based on whom they like (including timely bill-paying), whom they regularly supply with finish carpentry materials you will no doubt get several good leads. You might check your area for players who do restoration or remodeling repairs, not just new work. Wish I were there to walk you through it. Jim L.
