Michigan Builders Lic

Huntdoctor | Posted in Business on June 13, 2008 04:55am

Hey all Michigan Builders,

Did you renew your license? Did you get renewed?

I know 3 builders in the Kazoo area that were denied because of bad credit. 1 for back child support.

Is this not alittle counter productive?

Yes I got mine! Good till 2011.

I got both of mine (thank you very much).

Gramholm and cronies on vacation on Mackinac island.

"How can we solve the tax revenue crisis?"

"I know, you know all those small businesses that prop this waste land of a state up? Why not make the ones that are INC's or LLC's get two licenses?" It will only cost us one piece of paper per business but we can charge $250 for it!"

"Great idea. You'll be getting a raise for that idea."

Go ahead, ask me my opinion of my government.

Grandmole.....what a waste.  She is leading our state right down the crapper.  What a terrible leader.

      1. Jim_Allen | Jun 13, 2008 02:39pm | #3

Leader is not the right choice of words. Its hard to believe that the state turned their nose up against an established businessman with a solid track record to choose her. Bob's next test date: 12/10/07

But we have cool cities now!

I just want to know if its been five years yet?

Granny: "And in five years.......you'll be blown away."

          2. JohnFinn | Jun 15, 2008 12:53am | #9

Yes, and many of our contractors have blown away to different states. Some of the "lucky" ones have found jobs in the non construction industry, unable to sell (or rent) there homes in order to make a move.

        2. Mooney | Jun 13, 2008 06:38pm | #5

Everytime I talk to someone from that state she comes up. Its never good .

One  guy moved here from there and rented for a short time before he bought .

He got a job here right away, got a little house in the country he paid for cash from the lot bigger house in Mich he owned out right . He told me that little house is all he has to show for  the Mich experience and hes lucky to have ended up with that. He figgures hes fortunate to others he left.

He did no bitching or talking about anyone badly . He doesnt have those feelings at all as hes really laid back . Anyway she came up because I asked and he looks at space for a minute . I dont have anything nice to say about her he said. He was done .

I was floored too. I think what clinched it was when "granny", had the ad about his China factory and skewed the facts about it relating it to a factory that closed here.

The fact of the matter is that you cannot sell anything in China not made there and he wanted to expand his company to China. He had no choice but to build there and he wouldnt stand up and explain that to the poeple of Michigan.

What the majority of the people dont get, is that you really do need a businessman to run a good government. Polititians are just a little too self serving to really follow the will of the people.

My wife and her hen friends voted for Grandmole first elections BECAUSE SHE WAS FEMALE! They had no other reason than that.

These hens don't even know the differences between Dem or Rep...scary who is allowed to vote.

I remember the second election my wife saying, "well, I'll vote for Devoss because you want me to but I still think Granholm is nicer."

            AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Granny was reelected that's when I began looking for work out of state. I knew that night it would be at least 6 years before MI did anything good and I don't have that kind of patience..

            .

"Thank goodness for the Democrats! If you are terminally unemployable, enjoy living off of govt welfare and feel you owe society nothing you're in luck: there is a donkey waiting for you."

Come to Austin. What do you know how to do? Bob's next test date: 12/10/07

          3. Buttkickski2 | Jun 17, 2008 04:06am | #12

Thanks, but we moved to NC January. We're doing fine here but still can't sell the MI house.

My trim carp buddy has been thinking of TX. He's about to take the pack-n-leave plan from MI. Stop at the bank and drop off the keys on the way out.

Sad stuff going on up there. It's going to be a 3rd world country soon..

            .

Jim isnt pricing really cut throat in Texas due to alot of Mexican labor?

          5. Jim_Allen | Jun 17, 2008 06:00am | #14

Yes, the subs cut each others throat and the illegals certainly do influence the usual trades. Were not trying sub though. Instead of being victimized by the low sub prices, we are capitalizing on them.We run into some leads that laugh at our bids but that's to be expected. I'm shooting for a 30% closing ratio so I'm okay if I get laughed out of 70% of the homes we visit. Bob's next test date: 12/10/07

ya see, you are just not getting it. now pay attention to me boy i say pay attention i'm talkin to you. (foghorn leghorn imitation)

you have got to learn how to take advantage of the system better, you shold try not to let the system take advantage of you.

remember that stuff that JFK said about asking what you could do for your country, well i'm gonna tell you what you can do for your country, you can work every angle, bend every rule, and take advantage of every loophole you can find so that you can stay in business and keep paying taxes thats what you can do!
