My first landscaping project–this has been my full-time job for the last three summers. It was just a big, empty backyard when I started. I designed it all, and I’ve put in about 90% of the labor myself–leveling, planting, masonry, paving…
There’s still a lot more to do. As soon as classes are out, I start digging the reflecting pool on the uppermost terrace.

YIKES! If I had known better, I would have used much smaller jpegs. My apologies to those without cable modems.
Very nice project did you invent your own bluestone pattern or find a source for that?
I did the same thing with the large files .. you can edit your post and remove them, shrink and re-post ... some folks might appreciate that.
Here are some smaller copeis of these photos--Hopefully these are of a more manageable size.
Whoa! Tell me about those curbs. Are they bluestone that has been carved? They are sweet!
Are they available from Home Despot?
Here's an old photo of the "before."
Wow, i am impressed... looks like someplace in Switzerland , i could hang out there for days...

We were the winners, cause we didnt know we could fail...
The curbs are nothing more than concrete, poured into place. I built the forms from scratch and staked them into place--took a couple of days.
well done - like the house too - - I'm guessing this solved some drainage problems - - looks like lots of earth moving - - but.... what happened to the hot tub?
keep up the good work
Very nice. If you want to resize, get IRFANVIEW, available free on the web. Easy to use. Then just edit your original post, removing them and repost down the line.
Of course I'm cable so all's good here! Nice work, and a lot of it!
