Hey everyone, I was thinking about ordering a Milwaukee roofing gun off of amazon they are on sale now 160.00. I was wondering if anyone has used one, or presently uses one? Any pros and cons would be appreciated.
The milwaukee gets good reveiws. Would like to have a Max superroofer, but can’t justify the cost.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know that gun, but keep in mind as with any pneumatic - can you get nails and service/arts for it in your area. Around here all the roofer guns seem to be bostich and hitachi.
Also, are you an occasional roofer or a pro?
If pro, deal with the area distributor. Buy a pallet of nails and get a gun free.

good points and I don't have ready answers for the questions.
Accept to say, it would get occasional use for roofing and cement board installs for tile. it gets good reviews but as to fasteners I am not sure. I thought roofing nails were pretty much the same however one reveiwer said that it seemed to jam with nails coallated low, maze brand I think. He tried grip rite and was fine.
I use a bostitch at work, but was trying to find a deal on a good performer for occasional use.
Thanks for the input Piffin.Webby
I've got that gun, got it at the recommendation of one of my tool suppliers. Like Piffin said, most of the guns around here are HItachis or Bostitch, but that Milwaukie is a good little gun.I only use it occasionally as well, usually for a dormer or small addition, etc. So maybe for a day or two every couple months. For that it works great. Never had any problems, no jams, no misfires. Other than the fact that I hate the little collated wires sticking out anywhere, but that's more a function of the nails. I've got a box of the grip-rite nails that I have yet to make it fully through yet after a couple years.I thought the Milwaukie air tools were definitely geared towards the homeowner or occasional user when they started coming out, so I don't know about longevity. I do have to say they're really comfortable in the hand though. And I know my tool guys can fix 'em if they break down.Paul

Bought one a few years back. Used it on an apartment complex job. We had about 120 mansards to reroof, so it ran every day for months.
It worked just fine. No issues. No repairs. Nice gun and very good feature set for the price.
I'd like to get it out on an HP siding job loaded with Maze HDG nails. Last time we had to use HDG 8ds. I think a good HDG roofing nail (not the stuff from Home Depot - which is EG) would do well.

an update, I have used the Milwaukee twice now and it performed superbly. Actually in a side by side comparison, it is identical to the Ridgid roofing nailer. Same gun.
I really like it. I bought it for 160 on amazon. I think it is regularly around 180.
