Milwaukee worm drive saw leaking oil
I picked up a used 8.25″ 6378 saw and need to change the oil and repair a seepage oil leak on the front end. Where do these typically leak? There is sawdust oil caked on the front red plastic “hood”. The parts manual shows a $0.67 gasket behind it. Are there any other places these saws typically leak because I don’t mind changing an o-ring or $2 gasket while I am in there. Thanks in advance for any advice. John

E-replacement parts and toolparts direct are great sorces for parts. I would start with a good cleaning to make sure there are no casing cracks where oil could be leaking from. Good luck!
It sounds like your leak is coming off the arbor shaft.
There should be seals right behind where you blade sits.
Does your arbor shaft have any side play?
The reason I ask is if the bearing behind the seal is shot it would lead to the seal failing.
Just something to keep in mind.
