Minimum top plate support for new joists

We’re installing a skylight on a flat roof where the new joists only have 2″ of space on the top plate of an exterior wall. (see attached, gray joists are new)
These are 14′ joists with good support on the opposite side. I could build out the wall but naturally at the expense of interior space. Is there a way to provide additional support for the new joists?
Thanks

you are ok with 2 inches.
span tables seem to come with a minimum of 1.5 inch bearing on a top plate.
You can consider blocking between joists (over the plate, and mid-span), which will spread some of the load to the next joist.
Huge thanks Uncle Mike. I learned something and found it in the IRC. Good suggestion on blocking.
