up here in the frozen tundra…. im trying to get a grasp for what others in the twincities area like to charge for their services.
Now i know charging outright by the square foot is like cutting your own throat.. but seems like after all the numbers are crunched.. I come in at about 40 bucks a square foot for remodels or basement finishing.
THoughts… complaints.. suggestions???

Personnally I do more custom trim and cabinet install than full on basement or general remod so I have numbers for linier ft. of cab. or trim and just price out by piece boot boxes or book cases. I have found that every kitchen or trim job is unique so "Situation dictates" ie. Did the HO hang his own rock --Ever trim a door, or window or worst base around horrible corners. I concur that Doller per Square foot is Dangerous.. With that said it is a good price to start with and get you over the hump when you are trying tio come up numbers for a ho or Gc. I am around the small Mall and work south of 494 mostly. Catch you later Mike
understandable. I"ll keep you in mind when i come across some kitchen cabinets that i dont want to hassel with hanging.
