After removing drywall during a renovation, found some small pockets of termite damage in an exterior wall top plate. House was inspected for termites when purchased several months ago — no active termites found and house was completely treated. Some damaged sills however were found and replaced.
Should the top plates be replaced? Do I need to get the termite inspection company back for another look?
Anyone have experience in other ways to handle this? I was thinking of trying a liquid epoxy/wood fill (like made by Abatron, for example.)
