Brookfield is a very small town.
And nearby are all small towns. Chillcothe, Macon, Kirksville, Carrolton, Trenton.
might need to go to Columbia or even KC to get a job.

im just looking for something in driving distance and an average price. thanks
Yeah it is a small town, I am here in Quincy Illinois which is about 1 or 1 1/2 hours east on the missisipi river. there would be work in Kirksville (i don't know how much) and definately work in columbia, it is booming. Also here in Quincy there is quite a bit happening and depending on skills you can get 10-14 dollars an hour working for someone.
Noreastern missouri is known for lower wages but also low living costs.
