I’m trying to locate a plastic miter saw shroud that I saw in an ad or an article. It was cheap and light-weight so it seemed preferable to a shop-made one. Has anybody seen it?

The awful thing is that beauty is mysterious as well as terrible. God and the devil are fighting there, and the battlefield is the heart of man.

Sorry if this is lame, but I couldn't find any saw shrouds at that link.
In the second column of the website navigatin bar is "products".... what's the shroud called?
Sorry, I didn't see it on their website either. It's called the "Chop Shop" I saw it at JLC. Call fastcap (nice folks) about pricing. Jim

Coming up with some sort of shroud is something that I've been needing to do for far too long myself.
Here's a plastic shroud.... is it the one you were thinking of?

Seems a bit on the expensive side.
Anybody ever use one of these things?
Does it work?

Have one in the shop where I work. Yeah, they work but are a bit of a PITA. When swinging the saw left and right for mitres, you have to grab the shroud and slide and/or pivot to a new position to avoid interference with the saw slides.

Has anyone tried ducting the BOTTOM of a chop saw?
This link has a description of that approach: http://airhand.com/diy.asp. See the bottom of the page, "Dust-Free Chop Saw".
Just wondering if anyone here actually has any experience with that approach.
Looks good. I think I will try this on my Makita.Martin
I had a feeling there would be some adjustment.
I swing and tilt my saw a dozen times a day.
I like the idea, but I'm slow enough now.

Yes, $200 is too much but the $25 Big Gulp should work. Thanks.
You can buy a lot of brooms and dustpans for that much $$
How about this one:

I've never used it, but it looks ok. Maybe a little bit bulky

Thanks Martin,
That's what I was looking for. I was hoping I could find a cheaper one.
