mitered corners with fiber cement

Is it possible to miter corners using fiber cement siding. In the dec./jan. issue it looks like that is what they did in the affordable housing article ?

You sure it wasn't "tin
You sure it wasn't "tin corners"? IMO, tin corners is the way to go -- fast, cheap, foolproof. And in many contexts they look better than corner boards.
I've seen mention of mitering FC corners either on this website or JLC (I don't remember if it was in a positive or negative context), but given the inherent difficulty in cutting FC and chance for damaging the cut edges I don't think I'd try it. As Dan says, the better way is either tin corners or ordinary corner trim. (Hardie documentation assumes the use of conventional vertical corner trim, and they sell their own proprietary FC trim boards.)
