Okay craftsmen, please help a lady out with some questions regarding laminate countertops.
I really like the mitered fold look by Wilsonart, but….
1. How well does it hold up?
2. Will there really be no brown lines? (I know it says that, but I want real feedback here. I have chosen a white color and if there are lines, then they would stand out….and I would not be a happy wife…)
3. Do you have to install the backsplash first or can that be done afterwards?
Thank you!

If you’re talking about the pre made edges by Wilson Art. Yes they make a great looking edge. If your installation is 100% meticulous you will have no lines. Don’t try this without a lot of experience with laminates. This is not DIY. Backsplash is best done last.
Oh I have ZERO intention of doing this myself! I'm hiring a contractor through a Lowes or a Home Depot out of Waco most likely.
I recognize my limits after the last time my husband came home and noticed I had ransacked his tools to install my new curtain rods in our bedroom. 20 plus holes later I finally found the studs to secure them. The only 2 questions my husband could ask was, "Honey, sweetheart how come you didn't stop after the first 5 holes?" I replied, "Because I'm not a quiter." He then said, "why didn't you use my stud finder?" I replied, " I did! But as you can tell the darn thing is off!" So needless to say I'm under strict tool supervision these days and to be honest probably for good reason! ?
Have you looked at Formica Colorcore?
I haven't done laminate work in years but I think it looked pretty good.
I have and that would be awesome, except the pattern I am in love with is a Wilsonart pattern and that one is new, so they don't have a color core option yet.
Can’t answer about the line question, but I would suggest finding an independent company to do the work. Trusting whatever subcontractor bids the least to Lowes or HD to do a good job, or for Lowes or HD to make sure they do, is a crap shoot at best.
