Has anyone had experience with assembling a modern design prefab or modular home and if this is more cost effective than building a stick built modern design home.

The modular/prefabs claim that they can be purchased for $125-200 per sq/ft, but I get the impression that this gets you a shell and not much else.

Does anyone know what the market is for these “modern design” homes? My impression is that 99% of all homes built are traditional design homes, and that these homes would sell more easily, especially in this slow real estate market.
