going to be installing Mohawk vinyl plank flooring in the house. I’ve done a fair amount of standard laminate flooring and have the skilsaw flooring saw for doing those jobs, however, 1st time w/vinyl planking.
Any tips/advice from anyone?
thanks in advance

Is it the kind that snaps together? The long sides snap together well but the ends are a problematic. And those that dont snap together will open up after a few cooling/heating cycles.
Revelance - click installation - 7" x 49" - 6.5 mm thickness - I've encountered the end problem with some other laminate installations, but hopefully this will go together well
just wondering if cutting is a problem - not sure how the vinyl cuts compared to basic laminate
thanks for the help
other question to ask is what should I be using for underlayment - hallway is 3/4 oak and I need to get the 6.5 mm to match the 3/4 inch height - thinking about using 3/8 inch underlayment plywood - screwing about every 8-10 inches & filling the screw holes to make a smooth level surface.
any thoughts?
thanks in advance
Go with the manufacturer's recommendations for underlayment. But I see no reason why your plan shouldn't work.
Most Vinyl cuts with a box knife. It helps to heat it with a heat gun especially if scribing an unusual pattern.
