I ‘m noting mold on the wood siding of my 1 year old CT house. I noticed it shortly after moving in, and seems to be getting worse over time. It is mostly on the south side of the house. Close up it is small dots – lots and lots of them – but from afar looks like grey blotchs across large areas of the siding. The siding was front and back primed before installation then painted. Any idea what is causing this and how to get rid of it. I don’t want to repaint only to find the mold retuning.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

This summer, there's not much on or in my Connecticut home that's not moldy! OK, that's an overstatement, but the humidity has been overboard this summer, and the mold you're seeing could be an anomoly.

In his first interview since the stroke, Ram Dass, 66, spoke with great difficulty about how his brush with death has changed his ideas about aging, and how the recent loss of two old friends, Timothy Leary and Allen Ginsberg, has convinced him that now, more than ever, is the time to ``Be Here Now.''

That's what they caled that big rock that was going to crash into the earth and Bruce Willis handled it.
Think a call should be put in for Bruce and have him handle this one too?

Mold from within, or mildew on surface?
Will wiping with 10% clorox do away with it?
Excellence is its own reward!
I think mold from within - wiping with clorox and water will eliminate, but right back. Interesting, only on the south side - north side does not have it. Seems to me it might be siding boards not totally dry that are weeping and molding. Not sure whether to take some off and check underneath, repaint or wait longer!
That is more common on north sides. Imight be suspecting water leakage from roof or plumbing - or maybe therre is crawlspace/basement moisture venting somehow into the walls there..
