Any opinions as to how thick I can go with the strapping before it gets too unwieldy or wobbly to be practical? I’ve insulated the lower skip-sheathed rafters with 2″ foam (thanks Sphere), but the rest of the ceiling has board sheathing, so I don’t want to buy any more tuff-r than I have to.
