Well….actually this isnt a flying one…..but I can assure you that my son Jeff who is seated in this ultralight was flying right when the picture was taken. He was just starting to get his health back when I took this picture.
This is a VERY emotional picture for me..and I am tearing up as I type. Jeff as many of you know had been through hell and back with his colon problems. After way over a year of throwing up and the other over 20 times a day…we almost lost him.
But thanks to prayers..and a wonderful god sent doctor..he has his life back. I was trying my best to expose him back to the good things in life. I didnt realize at the time that just looking at a bird on a limb was satisfying to him as long as he felt as good as he does now.
I actually grounded myself from flying while he was very sick. I didnt want the “appearance” of dad having any fun. It was only an “appearance” as I was truly miserable. So…the reason for grounding myself.
But now that his health is SUPER….I feel so light…and thus all the airborn pictures. Please excuse my exuberance….I am enjoying these moments.
I just want to thank everyone once again for all the kind thoughts and heart felt prayers that made this post possible. God bless each and everyone of you.

There is nothing better than seeing a smile on your childs face.
Like I said Stan, you continue to be one of the most inspiring posters on this forum. Thanks for the lift and the opportunity to soar along with you and your family in this triumph over adversity. God bless you brother!

Andy: Thanks. Which flying machine are you wanting to know more about? The ultralight that my son is sitting in is a Quicksilver MX11. The owner is standing in that picture.
It is a nice flying machine...kind of slow...has a 503 Rotax engine in it.
Here are some more pictures of Jeffs first flight. The one that says ultra5....you can see a shadow at the top. That is actually the tip of my rotor blade stopped by the camera.
You can barely see the ultralight high and to the left here.
Keep posting, we love it! Best wishes for your family!
