I was wondering if anyone had a product or manufacturer for motorized windows. I have a third floor cupola with 6 awning windows that I would like to open via remote control. The only product I can find is the Trust Sentry product and only a few places online sell them (roughly $550+ per window!) For 6 windows, that gets pretty steep.

google, green house window openers ..
Depending on how handy you are, it might be interesting to use replacement automobile power window assemblies - I just replaced a fairly complicated one in DW's Town and Country minivan, including all the cable and rack assembly, and it was under $80, IIRC. In this case, I'd just direct drive from the cable drum to the window operator's splined shaft
Then your operating voltage could be 12V, but not a big deal - cheap battery charger, maybe?
You could use limit switches or an unloader relay at each end of the travel.
I could see it being a fun home project, and certainly less than a grand, maybe half that.
