Well I’m headed out the door to the Apple Store to pickup a couple of Tiger licenses. Anyone else making the move?

Why rush it? I always like to wait till the inevitable bugs shake out. Or, if not bugs, then incompatibilities. All I need is for CAD to not work completely and I'm screwed.
Well I did the upgrade to Panther the night it first came out and everything worked flawlessly so I'm going for it again. Besides my desktop machine has two hard drives so even if, EVEN IF, there is a problem with Tiger I can just change startup disks.
But then again why take the chance? Because Mac stuff is kool and 99% of the time works flawlessly. (And how are you going to know if VectorWorks runs without any problems if guys like me don't tell you.)Geez I was even impressed with the shopping bag they give you in the Apple Store. Even it was a really great functional design.

Ahh, time for me to move from Jaguar to Panther, it's gotta be half price now, ha, ha, ha! Don't worry, we can fix that later!
I still haven't gotten completely familiar with Panther.
Still spending too much time on a pc.
I'm thankful for the loyal opposition! It's hard to learn much from those who simply agree with you.
I try to be helpful without being encouraging.
You have bigger ones than I, I'm afraid. Apple's history of "user debugging" has caused me to be a little cautious. (Been using Macs enthusiastically since 1984, however.) I figure Tiger will be installed sometime around August if the reviews are good.
However, by going to the Apple Store tonight, you'll have a chance to see all those guys who ordinarily never leave their mothers' basements.
I'm moving on to ...... a guinness.
sincerely,
