With the right approach, you can restore old hardware—whether through soaking, scrubbing, or polishing—giving it a fresh look while preserving its original charm.

These guys did not show it but you might e-mail them. They seem to have a pretty good bunch of the stuff. If I get by HDT tomorrow I will ask but I doubt if they have it.

Variations on the blade I'm seeing. I really need the depth setting. I need to cut through some boards where I don't know what might be underneath (built in cabinet bottom).I checked online at HDT and Coastal, plus Amazon. I think I'll see if I can contact Fein directly.
Bryan, since the blade oscillates I have done this.
Tape a small block to the blade at the correct depth you are trying to set (one side only). It should stay put. Mark blade with Marker above the block so you can keep an eye on it's position.
or-make the block the right length to run up to the blade offset-it can't move up no more.
edit: This was done with the E blade.

Bryan, do you have the new model? What I saw for the rod type depth stop said it was only for the new model. The older ones can use a disk for a stop.
"Fits all E-CUT saw blades as well as the HSS saw blade wood. Suitable only for the new FEIN MULTIMASTER FMM 250/250 Q."
These guys show both styles.

Yeah, I have the older model. I e-mailed Fein to ask that very question and got a very prompt reply. Thanks for the link, I was wondering how the disk version worked.
If you have a Rotozip - or access to one - there's something similar, it was ~$40 and included a blade.

Got it at HD. I needed it for one funky job and it worked fine. I can't imagine what the Fein version costs.

I finally found the Fein version at an online store that Fein sent me a link too. Amazingly it is only about $65 for the blade and guide, which is about $8 more than the blade alone. But as Calvin noted, it is only for the new model. It mounts via a couple of screws that the new model is designed for on the body.Ok, so $65 isn't exactly cheap. But for Fein blades, it isn't out of the ball park.I only have a Dremel, so I don't think it will go through this rather hard board. I think it might be yellow pine, but I'm not sure. I may try using a router, but of course I won't be able to get to the ends.
