Used one for the first time 2 weeks ago to make a chase for a hood vent in custom cabinets, very slick. Found a factory recon Msxe-36-2XL on Ebay for $199.00 where every other site was $279.00 +.

Now THAT'S what I want for Christmas !!!
Thats a pretty good buy , and the $5 shipping seems really low for the weight of the tool & metal box. Not sure about the reconditoned tools though.
I saw yesterday that Rockler has the original MM's on sale for $249. They have the cheaper plastic case though. They are closing them out to make room for the "new improved design".
From what I saw in an ad from Woodcraft, the newer version has
* "Quick Action System" for tool free accessories change. * 40% more power
*Dust extraction System
* Soft grip for operator comfort
It also looks like it has a better plastic case for $389.
So now the decision, is the new version worth the extra $140?
I am leaning towards the newer version, anyone tried out the new MM yet?
