I’ve been told that Munchkin furnaces are great. I’m thinking of using one in my new house, and would like to here from someone who has one. Is it efficient? Is it QUIET? Plenty of hot water?? Please let me know. Thanks

"Is it QUIET?" Nope, it keeps singing, "Follow the yellow brick road. Follow the yellow brick road. Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick road. . . ."
Sorry, Couldn't resist.
Followed by screams, I assume.
Do the munchkins come in liquid form, or solid? How many BTUs per munchkin, anyway? Do they stack like cordwood?
Cairo--
Munchkins are spherical, BTUs depend on composition (e.g.: the jelly filled superior to the plain), come 25 or 50 to the box at Dunkin' Donuts...

BOOM! BOOM!
(Mumbling while reloading shotgun) I hate those freakin' munchkins............
To all the munchkin lovers. Should have written,
"We represent the lollipop guild......."

ROFLMAO!!! That was great; color and size of the shorgun blasts really made it...On the more serious side, actually found some pictures of Munchkin furnaces installed on Cape Cod, so they appear to be available locally, though couldn't find a manufacturer's website for the life of me.
Problem I'm having, is that a couple of the photos showed installers, and it appears that the furnaces are square and quite small, maybe reaching as high as a horse's knees. From watching the documentary, where the horse kept changing colors, I know that the average munchkin exceeds this dimension by a good 6 to 8". Question is: Are Munchkins foldable like a card table (i.e: you make their toes touch there foreheads)? They seem to be a bit stout to allow this. If so, do you then shove them in the furnace butt first, or truss them together with their boot laces and go head/feet first? If not foldable, even though they're not my favorites, probably could not bring myself to trim off their feet (let alone the other end) in order to get them to fit...

There are many fans of Munchkin at HeatingHelp.com's The Wall forum.
I thought Munchkin made boilers, not furnaces.
(Keep in mind most folks at The Wall are into hydronics, not scorched air.)
