Thought about leaving a comment suggesting his Dad should spring for the "Technology " he needs to fulfill his dream.

Yup, blue healer.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
great artwork.
2 talents that i've have always been envious of is artist's and people that can sing. to say the least i can't draw a straight line and if i sing all the dogs in the hood start howling.
it amazes me how he can look at the dog laying there and transfer that to paper with such great detail.
i have a friend whose son is pretty good. he makes more than any of his buddies who work at mickey d's,drawing portraits for people for xmas, birthdays.
the older i get ,
the more people tick me off
Very nice.
Did he do them at home or is it part of a HS art class? I assume he's about a sophomore or junior?
Ditto on the parrot.
Sophmore.
Did most at home, with one or two of them used as auditions to get into art school.
Thought your son might enjoy looking at this woman's website.

Thanks, I'll let him know.
Very nice. I liked the parrot, too. It's good to see kids explore their artistic sides.
