Very nice! So how did you hang the rock on the ceiling by yourself? I ask, because I often have to hang small jobs by myself, and I'm curious as to your methods. I haven't bought a drywall lift yet, but I'm getting closer!
You can build your own drywall lift cheap -
That looks pretty cool! I can't completey envision the way it works - got a picture of a completed model? Thanks!
Danz857,
hope you put up a 4 mil or thicker vapor barrier over the block before you added the insulation. Any mosture (or vapor) coming thru the block will find a nice cozy home to grow mold in the fiberglass. Also any vapor coming from the inside of the warm basement will cool and condense when it hits the cool block wall.
Hate to rain on your parade.
Here is an alternate way to insulate

hi thanks for the reply, no I didnt use a plastic sheeting on the walls, however I did allow at least 1 1/2" and more (since my basment was out of square) of air space bewteen the block walls and stud wall, so the insulation is not in direct contact with the block. I also tested the walls for mosture before starting constuction.
