I haven’t messed around in the garage all winter, and as a result it’s a freaking wreck. So I decided to start the battle one area at a time. It all started with deciding to set up an area for my Kreg pocket jig. That turned out pretty nice, notice how I have it tucked up into the case. Then it cascaded into “I need better storage.” so the wall unit is the result.
The wife left me alone all day. Before she left she asked me to finish the baseboard in the kitchen. I never got close to it, but I’ll be out of town most of next week so I guess she’ll calm down by then.

Gunner-- you obviously don't do any work out there; everything's too neat <G>. Seriously, it looks great. I'm in the middle of a couple of projects myself right now, so, of course, my shop is a total disaster. I know it's time to clean up when the tool that i've just used and set down takes me forever to find again! I'm always intending to make more shop cabinets to help me get organized, but it seems my pace of work [ at least around my own house] is constantly being overwhelmed by new projects. Oh well, at least I'm not getting bored.
Those pictures were very carefully staged so you didn't see the rest. It's horrible trust me. My plan is to slowly do what it takes to get organized. You miss 100% of the shots you never take." Wayne Greztky
That was my first thought too, but you do only show one side of the shop and the workbench is really all scuffed up along the edge. You really know how to clean up. Every year, you move the mess to the other side of the shop. Right?.
Excellence is its own reward!
If you saw the other side you would kick me out of the club LOL. I added onto the old bench with the blue steel cabinet. That's the bank undercounter I was talking about last weekend, There's another pice beside it that used to hold teller drawers in the vault. I use that to store my nails for my nail guns, that way I can divide them up. One of my next big adventures is to make a new base and top for my Radial arm saw. I want to try my hand at raised panel doors, and since I have on I might as well use it.

Gunner, you planning to make raised panels with a RAS? You might end up a gimpy gunner with an idea like that..........watch yourself, watch for high speed flying objects too.

The radial arm saw should never be taken lightly. But used properly it is one wood milling mother. It will have to do untill I have thebudget for something better.Who Dares Wins!
