I had a very “memorial” day yesterday. I took my son Jeff up as my first passenger in the SparrowHawk.
He is a big guy and it was 92 degrees. We had no problems and he was surprised at how it could fly itself.

Upgrading the footings and columns that support a girder beam is an opportunity to level out the floor above.

Awesome!!
Does your wife ever fly with you?
Fantastic!
Now you need a 4 seater to take the whole family up.
You know we're all expecting you to make a surprise landing by the tipi in August!

Boy its not hard to tell who's kid that is!
Does your son have any desire to fly those things, he's been up there enough he could probably take over for ya couldnt he?

Very cool Stan,
So you finally got it up and running!!!
Congratulations.
I took my Father-in-law up last week in the 172 and "nearly" lost it taking off in a crosswind. It was an educational experience, ....and his first time in a light plane. I don't think he has any idea how close we came to crashing....and I didn't tell him.
BTW, I will be doing flight line duties at EAA AirVenture this year if you make it up North of flatland. Basically greeting and directing aircraft as they land. So I'll keep an eye out for you if you decide to attend.

Good looking Kid...having fun and spending time with your Kids. Perfect. Stinky
Stan, the picture below was from the Google Earth thread. The satelite picture was taken some time in the last few years. I think the field is NW of Pontiac. If you happen to be flying over in that area, you might take your camera. I don't know if the folks still do field art, but it would be interesting if we had an updated pic.
