Not with my setup. I'm using IE, and Windows XP Home Edition.
I've got IE and XP and I'm getting red X's too.

" I will probably hog way too much bandwidth here on Breaktime now, showing pics of all kinds of stuff."
Looks like yuou've been caught by bandwidth cops already!

Welcome to the

Excellence is its own reward!
Either Verizon does not allow picture on their website to be linked to, that is not uncommon for photo "albums".
Or you did not make it public, so only you can see it.
I just Email my phone pictures to myself makes it easier.

I have shown this view before, but I have been enjoying taking pics with my Motorola cell phone.
I use the phone to upload a photo to my cell provider's site (Verizon pix place) then go there, copy it into my PC's photo files, then upload here.

And here is the view I get when I leave the bathroom, turn left, and face down the stairs.

In the bathroom, a partition and pocket door separate the little room with the toilet from the rest of the bath, and the room has a "window" that looks over the upper stairwell. Here it is from the inside of the bath. If you look up and left when descending the stairs, you see it, but you are stepped down too low to directly see someone inside.

All this technology provides me another way of getting photos on the web.

half of good living is staying out of bad situations
They're working now. What kind of phone do you have? Mines a Motorola v557. Takes good pictures and video.

They are only visible because I did a "save object as" of the .jpg pic files from the Verizon site, saved them on my hard drive, then uploaded per Prospero protocol, then went in and did the open-copy-edit-paste routine Mike Smith uses to embed the pics right in the post.
It is not as clean as I thought, because Verizon doesn't allow open sharing.
But you're right, the pic quality is surprisingly good.
I don't even know which Motorola model my phone is. I am a steady Verizon subscriber, and every two years I can upgrade for free to whatever phone they are offering at the time. The one I use says "digital 4x zoom" adjacent the lens, and is new since summer '05.
I don't even get the red x's.
But I did get a request from your pic site to let them set a tracking cookie when I opened this thread...
That's like rubbing salt in the wound. "We aren't going to let you see the pics, but please let us set a cookie that will follow you around and give us information on your browsing habits anyway"...
The destination is not the point. The completion is not the point. Enjoy today. If you can't enjoy today, then what is the point ?
