My Plumber Smells Good

DonCanDo | Posted in Photo Gallery on October 11, 2008 04:00am

This plumber works in my area.  I’ve noticed his motto before: “my plumber smells good and shows up on time” and it’s always struck me as a bit quirky, but not necessarily in a bad way.

But it does make me wonder, do plumbers have a reputation for smelling bad?

Yeah, go ahead and make all the wise cracks you want.

good thing I proofread this before hitting the post button, my first draft read, "he comes fully socked and equipt too!"

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.

Yep - I printed that copy for my plumbers for kicksThen a year later, I saw a plumber in his truck near here at a gas station, with it all painted up like that, more or less. The idea should have been copywrited!

-Mike Diamond Mike Diamond charges 4 times as much as I would charge. I have seen a neighbor lady charge $400 for a new toilet. She told me the old one kept running all the time. Saw another elderly lady pay $800 for 8' of 4" abs drain pipe with 2 no-hub bands.
A decade ago Mike Diamond was making money giving classes on how to make tons of money doing plumbing repairs.

I used to work Orange Pacific plumbing doing tract work. Should have stayed with it. But those prices they charge are criminal.ML

I don't think smelling good is a quality of a highly qualified plumber BUT when my clients ask for a reference I never fail to mention it. He is also friendly, honest, punctual and quick with a joke. Sometimes at my expense.

I have no idea what the quality of work this guy does but his truck certainly gets across the point that they waste no time in the port-o-john. I only wish I had the picture with the guy in the truck.
